Through ‘COVID Mukt Gaon’ project, ChildFund India, together with SAMRIDH initiative, is proactively contributing to the nation’s goal of Universal Health coverage. We also hope to extend this partnership and replicate the same model in other states to make the entire country COVID-Free.
Samridh support
The financial assistance from SAMRIDH is helping ChildFund India to launch a sustainable network model to improve awareness on COVID-19 and increase uptake of vaccination in target geographies. This partnership has also enabled ChildFund to unlock additional capital to operationalize and upgrade medical support and child friendly centres, under Central and State government schemes. In addition, through this collaboration they will also pilot a tele-medicine solution for remote locations.

The scientific community has reached a strong consensus that the pediatric population can be at greater risk to contract COVID-19 infection as they are not vaccinated against the disease. Given the vulnerability of the pediatric population to COVID-19, it is crucial to strengthen the capacity and preparedness of the health systems to manage COVID-19 cases among children.
COVID Mukt Gaon
ChildFund India tackles the pandemic’s impact in semi-urban and rural areas, preparing for future challenges and building sustainable post-COVID-19 solutions. They provide critical medical support, establish child-friendly COVID-19 care centers, and offer capacity-building support to health workers. Telehealth services and intensive vaccination drives further protect vulnerable populations. In partnership with SAMRIDH, ChildFund India implements the ‘COVID Mukt Gaon’ project in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. This initiative enhances public healthcare infrastructure, delivers tele-health services, and supports COVID vaccination drives in remote areas. ChildFund India’s goal is to create ‘COVID-free villages’ through a holistic approach, focusing on risk reduction, mitigation, and community empowerment.
